Like predicted, malam tadi memang tidur lena selepas 1 hari suntuk berjuang kat dapur, hehehe. Nasib baik still terjaga for sahur🙂. Minggu ni still nak buat a few more cookies lagi kalau larat lah and ingat nak buat some cakes to give to the Little Misses’ teachers as end of term / Raya presents. Last year, I buat end of year presents in the shape of fruit cakes and sweet treats masa cuti Christmas for the teachers. Tahun ni ingat nak buat masa raya because it just so happened that Raya this year will fall during the school holidays so boleh lah give them kuih raya as presents. But a big ‘if rajin’, hehehehe……

To Hunny n Intan who asked for the Cornflakes Meringues recipe. I just kopipes (with some alterations) aje ye but to the tuan empunya resipi, minta maaf banyak2 sebab lupa dapat dari mana. I know I got it from one of the blogs but can’t remember which one. So, mohon maaf awal2 for not acknowledging the owner of the recipe.

Cornflakes meringues

-225gm cornflakes -180gm choc chips ( I only used 125g aje and I think it’s more than enough )
-175gm gula halus ( I guna 150g caster sugar and it’s sweet enough for me)
-3 putih telur
-1-2 sudu teh esen vanila
-50gm kacang spt hazel dll(I used flaked almond or almond nibs)

-Pukul putih telur hingga kembang and soft peaks formed.
-Masukkan gula 2 sudu besar at a time. Pukul hingga pekat dan kental or until bila terbalikkan mangkuk, putih telur tak jatuh.
-Masukkan cornflakes n choc chip, gaul n kaup balik hingga rata.
-Masukkan kekacang jika suka. Masukkan dalam papercup kecil n bakar pada 140’c selama 20-30 minutes.

( I got about 100+ meringues, kira memang cukuplah utk buat raya, hehehe).

Ini pulak tonite’s dinner, Mat Saleh calls it Rice-filled omellette but kalau orang M’sia panggil Nasi Paprik ( betul ke nama nya ni?) or is it Nasi goreng Pattaya? (thanks Siti Aishah for telling me the name :-)). Last nite’s nasi banyak berlebih and Mummy malas nak fikir lebih2 nak masak apa malam ni. But, to attract the Little Misses’ attention, kenalah wrap the nasi in omellette, barulah diaorang makan beria🙂. The power of presentation and deception, hahahaha….
